    Google defines a podcast as: “a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or portable media player, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.”

    An Intro is the opening of the podcast. Think of it as the starting sequence of a TV show. It’s the sound and words that name the show and give a taste of the content. An effective intro can be key to getting your audience interested in listening to your podcast.

    An Outro is the bookend to the Intro. It closes the podcast, very similar to the credits of a TV show or movie. It reminds the listener who produced the content they just enjoyed and depending on content, may invite the audience to listen again or to subscribe to a specific channel.
